After months of sieving through and evaluating hundreds of developments across Malaysia, 15 developers emerged as the clear winners.
November 16, KUALA LUMPUR – iProperty.com Malaysia, today honoured 14 of the most outstanding developments in Malaysia at the iProperty Development Excellence Awards (iDEA) 2017. Close to 700 guests attended the award that is designed for innovators within the property industry that are redefining landscapes, skyscapes & cityscapes across Malaysia.
This year at iDEA, hundreds of developments across Malaysia were evaluated and only those that met the criteria identified were invited to be judged by an acclaimed panel of advisors comprising some esteemed industry players. They include Dr. James Tee, Managing Director & CEO of Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd; AR Ezumi, Director of Arkitek MAA Sdn Bhd; AR Sarly Adre Sarkum, Managing Director of Sarly Andre Sarkum Architecture Sdn Bhd and Datuk Tan Pei Ing, Founder and principal of PI architect.
Unlike other awards which tend to be closed-door affairs, iDEA is unique as it has a special category for members of the public to have a say by voting for their favourite developments in the People’s Choice category. The voting process which was carried out online between 16th to 30th October 2017 attracted thousands of voters, who voted for the development, they deemed to be the best. All results from the consumer voting category and the other 14 categories were tabulated and audited by global accounting firm, PwC.
In his welcome remark, Haresh Khoobchandani, CEO, Singapore and Malaysia, REA Group – Asia, said that iDEA aims to recognize and celebrate organisations that have changed the way Malaysia experiences property.
He added, “iDEA is also about developments that make these good organisations, great. We want to honor the best developments that thousands of people in Malaysia call home and provide a platform to recognize and celebrate ideas and innovation within the property industry”.
